Kate Simko & London Electronic Orchestra create a sound that combines the intricacies and textures of classical instruments with electronic music; incorporating synthesisers, organic sound design and live sequencing whilst bringing a new perspective to both genres. The group released their eponymous debut LP on The Vinyl Factory in 2016.
The performance at the Jazz Cafe takes place off the back of the ensemble’s first U.S tour to three sold out shows in New York and Chicago, and a rooftop set in Washington DC. LEO will release a new single in Autumn 2017 and have international tour plans in the works for 2018.
Producer and multi-instrumentalist J-Felix is a best known for his releases on Brighton’s lauded Tru Thoughts label. Blending early trip-hop with all things funk, jazz and soul, he steers away from using samples in his work, preferring to layer up live recordings of his own vocal and instrumental performances.
