‘Defected Presents The Opening Party Ibiza 2017’ gets set for its release on 16 June, aiming to tracklist your summer sounds for this season in Ibiza. The album features Mason’s ‘Rhino’, Low Steppa’s rolling remix of Sonny Fodera’s ‘Always Gonna Be’ and Karizma’s ‘Work It Out’, whilst Purple Disco Machine, Claptone and Josh Butler bring fresh 2017 updates to dance classics from The Shapeshifters, George Kranz and Robert Owens respectively.
Add in tracks and remixes from Black Coffee, Sam Divine, Aeroplane, Route 94, Melé and more, the release also features two DJ mixes, suited for both house heads on the island and those staying at home.
Defected are back on the island this year for a season at Eden, San Antonio. The programme of 20 dates, which kicked off on 21st May and runs every Sunday until 1st October, will be headlined by MK, Dennis Ferrer, Derrick Carter and Claptone plus lots more, including Amine Edge & Dance, Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Miguel Campbell, Josh Butler, Franky Rizardo, Sonny Fodera, Jacky, DJ Spen and Karizma.
Joining forces with D-Vine Sounds, Flow, Origins, Jacky & Friends and Frequently Flying, both rooms at Eden will host big name DJs and fresh new talent spinning house music.
Last Sunday’s opening party kicked things off with MK, Sam Divine, DFTD’s new recruit Jacky and Defected boss, Simon Dunmore, playing to a crowd of house lovers, welcoming the label back to the island.
Defected’s official pre-parties will be held at Café Mambo every Sunday.
