Cristoph will make his debut tour of Australia next month. Cristoph is apparently one of the hottest acts to emerge from the UK in the past five years. With a DJ and production range from deep house to techno, he has the ability to hone in on electronic music from all angles to appeal to his ever-growing global fan base. His track ‘On the Inside’ from his EP on Noir Music was placed #3 on Beatport's tech house chart and listed as one of Pete Tong's 'Future Stars'.
Growing up, he was influenced by the sounds of his fathers Motown vinyl, paired with his older brothers Chicago and Detroit house cassettes. This nurtured a passionate love for music from an early age, with him citing Masters at Work and Mark ‘MK’ Kinchen as early impressers. After a teenage phase of instrument playing and production testing, it was the coming of age club culture that really opened his eyes to the desire of a DJ career.
Recent bookings in Ibiza and across Europe have increased his profile, paired with new releases. This includes two number 1’s on the Traxsource main chart and a number 3 on Beatport tech house chart with ‘On The Inside’ – part of his five-track EP of the same name with Noir music.
His production ability attracted the eye of Defected, who, through their offshoot DFTD, had Cristoph as one of their regulars. Recently he had the launch of a highly successful EP with the imprint, and last year the release of two more.
Radio 1 also took notice, as he has been listed as a Pete Tong ‘Future Star’.
