Featuring several world exclusive premieres during his recent EDC Las Vegas set, Hardwell unveiled not only Arcadia, the first single from his forthcoming studio album, but also his remix of Coldplay’s collaboration with Avicii ‘A Sky Full of Stars'.
Due for release on 14 July 2014, the Dutch producer has succeeded in retaining the euphoria of the original, whilst giving the record a fresh progressive deepness that sees it journey down a new, more club driven tone. Frontman Chris Martin’s voice works well with the song’s catchy pop-like melody, but the sprinkling of Hardwell’s sound gives the record another gear, transforming it into a track suited to the mainstage.
When invited by label FFRR/Parlophone to remix the second single from their new album ‘Ghost Stories’, Hardwell said: “I’ve long been a fan of the band so when I discovered they wanted me to remix one of the tracks from their new album, it was really a ‘wow’ moment for me. It’s such an honor and I’m really proud of the outcome of the track. When I dropped it at EDC Las Vegas, the crowd’s reaction was electrifying; it still gives me Goosebumps thinking about it!”
Tickets for Hardwell's long I AM HARDWELL North American tour are on sale now.
