Favouritizm's Tony Barbato kicks off the year with a slice of deep vocal house titled '1961'. Boasting a bass groove, synth stabs and beats, the track is a song about some of the most prominent events of that year. As part of the release, the label welcomes Alex Barck (from Jazzanova), who creates a musical story comprising of many chapters (with additional keys from Volker Meitz), delivering a composition drizzled with the raw essence of ‘90s good stuff.
Also at the remix controls is Switzerland’s Patrick Podage who crafts a sultry vibe underpinned by synths-capes, a sexy future-tronic bassline and nu disco trimmings. Tony's releases have been championed by some of the world's top house DJ's including Tony Humphries, Hector Romero, Grant Nelson, Jask, Groove Assassin, Phil Asher, Richard Earnshaw, Scott Wozniak, Mr V, Rocco and more, and he was dubbed "one of the outstanding newcomers on the scene" by deep house pioneer, Aki Bergen in 2012. It’s out March 12 on Favouritizm, check it out below.
