Hot on the heels of their UK Top 40 hit ‘Through The Night’, Drumsound & Bassline Smith team up with dance rock act Hadouken! for brand new single ‘Daylight’, out now. 2012 has fast become one of Drumsound & Bassline Smith’s biggest years to date; their first solo single of the year ‘Through The Night’ quickly became a festival anthem, racking up over half a million hits on YouTube and remaining on the Radio 1 A-List for five weeks.
Annie Mac labelled it a ‘summer smash’ whilst Radio 1’s presenter Dev named it his ‘Big Thing’ (Record of The Week), before it finally charted in the UK Top 40. At the beginning of year the trio won two accolades (Best Track & Best Video) at the Drum & Bass Awards 2012, whilst also scoring another UK Top 40 hit along with Utah Saints on ‘What Can You Do For Me’. Hadouken! stormed back this year signing with Ministry of Sound, showcasing their new musical direction with bass-laced single ‘Bad Signal’ released earlier this summer before hooking up with the D&B trio on ‘Daylight’. Premiering on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, ‘Daylight’ combines Hadouken! alt rock tempo, with aggressive guitar riffs and Drumsound & Bassline Smith’s hard hitting basslines.
