Bristolian Eats Everything is at the forefront of the UK’s new underground house music resurgence, gobbling up elements of UK bass, Detroit techno, jungle and early rave in his sets, redefining the parameters of house music, and showing dancefloors all over the world, just what fun it can be to dance. Now, Eats is headed to North America for his first solo tour, taking in shows in Detroit, Miami, San Diego, Montreal and more, kicking off August 30th.
Bristol is rich in musical history, having been the home of Massive Attack, Portishead, Propellerheads, Stanton Warriors, and of course Roni Size and Reprazent. Eats Everything and a new wave of producers and artists, including Julio Bashmore, Laurie Appleblim and Waifs & Strays, are continuing this legacy today. He burst out of the traps with his suitably titled ‘Entrance Song’, which Pete Tong named his runner up for 2011’s biggest tune of the summer. Eats fun-loving personality, and bass heavy house, caught the ears of Claude VonStroke, who picked-up ‘The Size’ and Tric Trac’ for his legendary Dirtybird label. Pete Tong promptly named ‘The Size’ his BBC Essential New Tune in October 2011.
Since then he has gone on to remix The Ting Tings, Jamie Jones, Totally Enourmous Extinct Dinosaur, We Have Band, Roy Davis Junior and Crazy P on a broad selection of labels including Get Physical, Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy, Classic, PMR, FFRR and Leftroom and Sony/Deconstructed. With upcoming releases on Hypercolour, Pets and Digital Soundboy, his new EP for Dirtybird, ‘Vertigo’, will be released October 10th.
