Identity Festival recently announced that Rye Rye, JDevil, Kerli, Stephan Jacobs, new Perfecto signing Cole Plante and DVBBS will all be joining the festival this summer. They join a list of artists that includes Eric Prydz, Excision, Paul van Dyk, Madeon, Wolfgang Gartner, Porter Robinson, Nero, and Eva Simons who we revealed last week. Pop, hip-hop, hardcore, dance and industrial are all sounds that could apply to Rye Rye’s new album ‘Get Pop Bang’. On stage she is not-to-be-missed, spitting rhymes over the ground-shaking stomp of Baltimore club beats, while dancing her ass off.
Though millions know JDevil as Jonathan Davis, the front man of the iconic group KORN, his first artist performances were actually as a DJ in high-school. After six years plying his trade as a DJ, Davis took to the road with KORN, changing the face of hard-rock and selling 35 million records in the process. It wasn’t until 2009 that Davis stepped back behind the decks and his alter-ego J-Devil was born. Since then it’s been non-stop for JDevil, with crowds across America enthralled by his hybrid-live DJ sets, and Davis spearheading KORN’s groundbreaking EDM collaboration album ‘The Path Of Totality’ featuring Skrillex, 12th Planet, Datsik, and Excision. Teaming with cutting-edge label Dim Mak, JDEVIL will release his debut single ‘Spike In My Veins’ this summer. For more info, check: http://idfestival.com/
