Starkillers’ ‘Discoteka’ was made Essential New Tune by Pete Tong and received an IDMA Award nomination for his anthem, an award he then went on to win alongside Nadia Ali and Alex Kenji with ‘Pressure’. His ‘Azuli Ibiza ’12’ mix is a fast a furious collection of dance music, blended together is his unique style, and featuring tracks from Robbie Rivera, Tommy Trash, Seamus Haji & Nelski, Firebeatz, Sidney Samson, Dragonette, Laidback Luke, Alesso and many more.
The compilation comes packed with exclusives, with two coming from Starkillers himself; ‘Shut It Down’ feat. Natalie Peris – a record he made especially for Azuli – and the Starkillers and Dimitry KO remix of Juan Kidd & Felix Baumgartner feat. Lisa Millett ‘Now You’re Gone’. Also exclusive to the compilation are two more records from Dimitry KO, I Want You and his collaboration with Richard Dinsdale, ‘Aviator’.
Starkillers: “I have ADD. I know people always say that, but I really do. I really try not to sound like anyone else or copy anyone. What’s the point in being in this biz if all you’re gonna do is try and sound like someone else? I do what I think is cool and don’t really care what people think. You’re either a fan or you’re not.”
