Luke Solomon’s upcoming compilation places him alongside Frankie Knuckles, Masters at Work and DJ Gregory, presenting a musical journey of un-edited and un-mixed tracks from the producer’s three-decade career.
Luke Solomon: “The honour of being able to stand alongside peers and legends is something that I had never pre-meditated. As a number one fan of many of these great house music legends, I still remain a number one fan boy - so to be considered worthy of the Defected House Masters accolade is an absolute joy and privilege.”
From his work as part of the Powerdance collective, ‘A Safe & Happy Place’, to his work with Justin Harris as Freaks, with their single ‘The Creeps’ catapulting them into the UK charts, Luke’s earlier works span the spectrum from warm, deep grooves to dark room techno.
Recent remixes made alongside long-time collaborator Honey Dijon feature alongside fresh originals, including the funk house release with Detroit’s Amp Fiddler, ‘Come On Over’.
‘Defected Presents House Masters – Luke Solomon’ is out via Defected on 28 July.
