West Coast artist Dave Aju continues with his own varied style and pace, coming once again on Circus Company with three dance floor-aimed tracks. The San Francisco DJ/producer is a groove and jazz influenced artist who has been with the label for ten years. In that time, he has turned out plenty of LPs and EPs that have possibly earned him a reputation as a craftsman.
Just in time for the warm summer months ahead, these pieces are aimed for maximum daytime, nighttime, and after-hours pleasure respectively. The release kicks off with title track ‘Love In Zero Gravity’, which is loaded with soul and unique musicality - it builds in bass-heavy intensity, epic bursts and waves.
Next up is ‘Aubergine Dream’ which is in a much deeper mode, where basement funk collides with the darkest shades of purple, all laced-up with lysergic lines.
Finally, ‘Gatadu’ rounds things out with a robust house cut done-up with helpings of live percussion, textures, and Aju's vox.
